Nagome is the alpha female (Princess in common terms) of a very well-known and highly regarded white wolf demon tribe in Antartica. How did she end up in Japan? Nagome's and her twin sister Miyu's parents weren't both wolf demons - Only their mother. Their father was an American dog demon by the name of... Andy. (Not very dramatic.) How they met, no one knows, but they fell in love and bore two children. This, of course, was forbidden by the primative and very strict wolf clan, and as soon as they found out about it, Andy was killed, and so was their mother. They were about to kill the twins when glowing marks were revealed on each of their bodies (Nagome's blue and Miyu's red), marking them as the next 'celestial beings' - Chosen few who can summon netherelements from another demension and use them at their will. So, of course, they couldn't kill them, even if they were 'filty half-breeds'.

They both got a hard time about this, but Miyu getting the worse of it, for she bore more of a liking to her father, while Nagome looked almost exactly like her mother. Miyu ran away, and, years later, when she was old enough, Nagome chased after.

Nagome went to every continent imaginable, under careful observation of gaurdians that the Council of the Four Clans had appointed to her. Nagome finally struck gold in Japan - She discovered Miyu happily married to a vampire by the name of Akuma. Nagome's original plan was to convince her sister to come back to what was now her wolf tribe, but seeing how happy she was, and taking a rather high liking of her new guardian Opal Sukei, she decided to proclaim that she had not yet found her sister and was still looking. She knew it wouldn't last long, but it was the best she had until she could find a way to transfer her title over to another wolf. During which, she obtained her pshychic abilities, was possessed by her aunt (sort of), confused with her dead aunt by her would-have-been-uncle, and possessed... By her aunt. (Her aunt kept popping up whooo scary.)

Soon after, Opal was shipped off to Hellsing headquarters to take care of a special assignement, unknown to the Council, which meant that Nagome was without guardian. The Council was threatening to send her back - But Nagome wouldn't have it and ran away. It was then that she ran into her cousin, Hiei, and became a hobo with him so that she wouldn't get killed by the assassin the Sukei Council had shipped out. Her aunt left her during that time, much to her relief, and in the end, Opal came home and Nagome was at rest again. Currently, she's been forced to go to high school along with Hiei and Miyu, registered to join T.S.D.U., and planned to be sent to Hellsing headquarters for training to be Opal's assistant.
